I first met Sheri at a Women TIES event. I instantly knew I was in the presence of a woman who believed in God; she was calm, quiet and strong. I wasn’t surprised to learn what her business was – it seemed natural that she would be involved in a career that would make people and their homes feel “healed”.
Redeeming Restoration is a full service Emergency Response, Mitigation, and Restoration company. The business was created when Sheri began to realize exactly what had been making her horribly ill for seven years – MOLD! Her website and video (see below) go into more details about her struggles and the company. She is truly a representation of taking a difficult situation and using it to create a career – and a healthier life for her, her family, and her clients!
(At time of publication there were a few seats still available to her presentation Wednesday, March 25. See below for details)
About Redeeming Restoration
How did the idea for your business come about?
Started my business because I almost died from mold and have mold poisoning.
What sacrifices have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur?
Not being a stay home mom.
What is unique about your business?
Because of my health issues due to mold and being a mom of 5 children I take my restoration business to a higher level and can empathize with my clients.
If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?
Don’t give up when the tough days “will” happen and ask, ask, ask many questions until you get the answer or answers.
About Sheri Osborne
Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best?
Came down with shingles on my head and left side of my face on valentine’s day last year. Was hospitalized, bed ridden for 1 month, became addicted to the pain meds, and had withdrawals for 4 days. Since stress induces shingles, I have learned to take everything in stride, not stress, take each day one step at a time and not overexert myself.
What would constitute a perfect day for you?
Not having to think or plan anything. Get to sleep in, wake up slowly, have breakfast prepared for me, sit on my back porch listening to the birds and read a book until I was done. Again did I mention not have to think about anything!
What would you do with unlimited resources?
Purchase my dream farm, being able to give my church everything they needed to fix the church and take family vacations.
Fast Five – The Fun Stuff!!
What’s your favorite season?
Fall
If you were to create a piece of art, what would the subject be?
Landscapes
Aside from food, water, and shelter, what one thing could you not go a day without?
My Bible
What is your favorite food?
Mashed potatoes and baked chicken
What’s your favorite animal?
Horse
