 July 2001 – There I was in the grocery store line when my eyes fell upon the recent copy of “Yankee Magazine”. It was not my typical read of choice but there was a music sampler inside and Aerosmith on the cover, so I bought it.

I wasn’t expecting…

As we mourn the loss of the last original member of The Ramones (1974-1996) – we rejoice that a new generation of fans is finding their tunes.

Even though this is thought of as a sad tune, I can’t help but…

Whatever/whomever you’re enamored with – sometimes things get in the way. If it’s worth fighting for then FIGHT! Regroup and remember what you fell in love with in the first place.

If we’re talking business, then look back at the successes that filled you up and made your soar like an eagle – proud and in charge! Grab onto the great parts and let the rest fall away (or put it in the hands of someone else).

For this Memorial Day, I post a tune that you may never have heard, by a band you’ve probably never heard of: Weapon of Prayer by The Notting Hillbillies.

The Hillbillies were a country/folk band comprised of many musicians, including Mark Knopfler, who was looking to do something a little different after his mega success with Dire Straits “Brother in Arms” CD.

The song just seems to work today…
